I apologize if I sound abrasive when telling folks to do stuff for the common good, like wearing a mask or voting for the Democrat. In a perfect world I would love to hear and address all your concerns. But time is short, the action items are clear and there’s a lot of work to do

I’ll just reiterate what I said at the outset: if someone claims to be a progressive, and all it takes for them to give up is me expressing upset over a 20-year-old vote, well, i don’t doubt they were dedicated to something, but they definitely weren’t that dedicated to progress.

honestly after I saw red rose folks shitting all over RBG’s legacy, I realized I don’t have the energy to coalition-build with these people. We all know the stakes, and the work to be done. That should be enough motivation, regardless of what idiots like me rant about on twitter.

I’m maybe more annoyed with people like that than the deplorables. MAGA folks at least say the horror they seek. these folks are cos-playing as fighters for progress while shitting on people who are our best shot at some actual progress. that’s not getting us where we want to go.

I’m annoyed by people who say they want progress, but only if you’re nice to them. like “I was going to support LGBT rights but then you called me a name, so now I’m taking my ball and going home”. it’s like, ok, but I think maybe your support wasn’t all that there to begin with.

This one is happening everywhere, but it is also happening here; pick your poison. By the way: I still blame you, Nader voters and nonvoters! The opinion polls are just models; they assume turnout is going to do whatever turnout always does. I worked House races two years ago (like NY-11) that pollsters barely touched because the districts felt so safely red, and we surprised them. It’s all about getting out the vote.

really, the use case for Word was “it’s like your typewriter, but better.” this feels like a good use of computers. what’s the case for social media? “it’s like a global panopticon of staggering proportions that ruins democracies… but it serves some fun gifs?” bad. bad computer.

Democrats, progressives, and really anyone who opposes Trump’s autocratic attempt: we should reclaim the Gadsden Flag. It’s fucked up that the tea party tried to co-opt it to begin with. As a patriotic symbol for standing up against tyranny, it’s just the flag we need right now.

@choosedemo Hi, quick question, are the “10 Things You Need to Know to Stop a Coup” also under a CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license like the “Hold the Line” guide? I want to print them out to share with people, but would like to note the license terms if possible.
